Lodge Construction

As an owner in Elephant Point, the purchase of your stand and your building package are handled as two separate entities. From the date of taking registration of your stand in the deeds office you will have a total period of 30 months to have your lodge built and completed. Owners have the option of either selecting one of our turnkey lodge design packages we have on offer, or alternatively we can customize a design which is unique and best suited to your personal taste and budget.

We understand that any building process can be stressful at the best of times, however you can take confidence in the fact that we provide our owners with a complete turnkey, hassle free building process, where every single aspect of your construction package is monitored and managed by Legacy on behalf of our owners, therefore taking out all the stress and time consuming tasks associated to building a lodge. We have a full time team of professionals which include Architect, Project manager, Structural engineer, Electrical engineer, Interior Designers, landscape architect, Environmental consultant, Site foreman and a number of others specialists who are all dedicated to ensuring your lodge build process is as smooth and seamless as possible.

Although we have our permanent building contractors who are based on site, in order to provide owners with complete transparency as well as maintain competitive building prices, we welcome the opportunity to initiate a formal tender process whereby we will compile a bill of quantities and invite 3 or 4 reputable builders to quote on your lodge design. The results of which will be adjudicated by our project manager and a formal report will be provided to you outlining the detailed results, costs and any other information which we feel is relevant to consider before making your final decision on who to appoint as your building contractor.

We have a number of industry leading interior designers for you to choose from, which is further complimented by Legacy’s buying power and access to an extensive directory of retailers and suppliers of fittings, furnishings and equipment across South Africa. If you are wanting to incorporate your Lodge into Legacy’s Rental Service agreement, it is compulsory that an interior designer is used for your interior design, fit out and furnishings. If however your lodge is purely being used in your personal capacity and not rented out, you are not obliged to adopt the services of an interior decorator.
